David Ho was recently announced as vice president and executive editor of Digital Audience and News Innovation for Hearst Newspapers, guiding the transformation of Hearst newsrooms to reach new audiences and produce content for mobile, social and online platforms. Until January 2016, he was executive mobile editor at The Washington Post. There, he was responsible for developing and managing iPad and iPhone apps, as well as Android products. He also created and oversees a team of mobile apps editors and he is a founding editor of The Wall Street Journal tablet edition. As well as being an experienced mobile and tablet news app editor, Ho created and teaches a 15-week graduate course that deals with the future of news and the emerging technology in journalism at CUNY. He was a national reporter for 10 years, working for Cox newspapers and websites, such as The New York Times News Service and The Associated Press. He covered presidents, protests, the pope but also tech, telecom and terrorism.
