Amanda Farnsworth is the editor of the Visual Journalism Unit and deputy controller 24/7 News at BBC News. As editor of the Visual Journalism Unit, Amanda leads one multiplatform team, providing graphics, data visuals and editorial content across TV, Connected TV, PCs, tablets and mobiles for UK and global audiences. In the past, she was entrusted with other high profile leadership roles at the BBC such as editor of the TV One and Six O Clock News, deputy editor, Newsnight and Bureau Chief in Washington DC. She was project executive at the BBC for London 2012, having a leading role in formulating the vision, editorial strategy and plans to cover all the major events including the Olympic Torch Relay, the Diamond Jubilee and the Olympic Games.
