Adriano Farano is the head of content at Plex, a streaming media app that helps people discover, enjoy, and share all of their media on all of their devices. Adriano joined Plex in 2017 after it acquired Watchup, the company he founded. Watchup is a streaming news service that won a Webby Award in 2016 and was named one of the best apps on Google Play in 2014. Before Watchup, Adriano co-founded cafebabel.com and later went on to become a Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford and entrepreneur in residence at Stanford’s startup accelerator, StartX. As a journalist, he has freelanced for Le Figaro, Courrier International, Radio France and other media outlets.
