Daniela Kraus is founding director of fjum_forum for journalism and media. fjum, a Vienna based training institution, founded in 2011. The institution has established itself as an international player in the field of journalist education and training. From 2005 to 2011, Kraus was co-founder and managing director of research company Medienhaus Wien. She has been managing several national and European Union funded research projects on the development of journalism and journalism training. Among her publications is the book series “Journalisten-Report” (together with Andy Kaltenbrunner and Matthias Karmasin) on Austria’s news people and their work (based on David Weaver’s studies on the US News Media). From 2011 onwards, Daniela has been building up and heading mid-career training institution FJUM.
