Mixed Reality, Machine Learning and AI for journalists

session

Today, journalists can leverage technology to create more engaging news coverage, offload some routine work to computers, and find content in previously inaccessible sources:

Holographic computers like Microsoft’s HoloLens provide journalists with new ways of bringing news and sports events to life in Mixed Reality (MR) experiences.

Robot journalists powered by Machine Learning software can auto-generate articles in specific domains with great speed and efficience.

Cognitive Services – sometimes referred to as “Artificial Intelligence” – like speech-to-text conversion, translation services, and face recognition, give journalists quick access to sources.

In this session, Microsoft and digital agency Exozet will provide quick overviews of these technologies and show them “in action” – and hopefully inspire your team to find the “next big thing”.

Adam Thomas will be the moderator for this session.
